Working on a buffer

Ok, but only because you asked nicely, Ripper.

As the title of this post states, I am currently working on a buffer. That means that I am starting to draw pages for ThemaoR again, but not uploading them yet. I don’t have an official relaunch time in mind, but it can take a while still. Just know that I’m working on it again! Aah, I just can’t seem to quit you, can I? :)

I’m not setting up notifications or anything, but you can keep an eye on my twitter for news. My sketchblog (moved to tumblr) will be a home for many, many sneak previews because I love posting sketchies. I have a handy ThemaoR tag in place, for those of you who are only interested in these characters, and not my other doodles. My tumblr feed automatically updates to twitter too. The wonders of modern technology! ;P

So, yeah. I’m super excited! o_o

Well this probably doesn’t come as a big surprise! I could start ranting about the how and why but mostly I’m just really bored with this story, and I decided to be selfish and only draw things I really want to. ThemaoR might some day return, and when it does, I’ll make sure I have a mega buffer before I start uploading again XD

If you want to keep an eye on what I do, my devART page will occasionally be updated with finished pieces, and my sketchblog will continue to be updated regularly with all the things I want to draw instead of this comic. I do still really love all of my ThemaoR characters so they will show up on there, in case you need to get your kickass amputee pirate fix ;)

In your face Painter! I finished it in time even though you tried to boycot me! HA!
So, um, yes, Paintercrashes galore during this one… There was a pretty pretty chain tied to the boat that got lost in one of the crashes that I really didn’t feel like redrawing again… So if it reappears in the next page, don’t be surprised! It’s actually really there… >_>;;;

Observant readers will notice Jill seems to have packed on a few pounds since she scoffed at you from the chapter cover! This is because a) I can’t actually draw and messed up the sketch for her and b) why not have a slightly chubbier person in the comic, huh? Disclaimer: this is not to say that I think all chubby people are mean boatstealing piratewenches.

And also, remember when I used to change the colorstyle all the time? Wasn’t that fun? :D (just messing with a few new brushes XD that maybe were responsible for the paintercrashes, hmm…)

I wish I didn’t write Ate like this, I had to seriously spellcheck every wordballoon that comes out of his mouth. (or I should have paid more attention during to the spelling of words while I was in English class)

Obligatory sketchblog plug! Right now I have some concepts for the costumes for the next chapter up. Yes, already. Because, why not?

Well it’s almost monday, so I’m uploading it.

People who pay really good attention to the navigation to the right will notice that instead of telling you to advertise on ThemaoR, Eddie’s button is now telling you to visit my blog. Last week I decided to make a little sketchblog and I’ve actually been updating the thing daily. This probably won’t last long XD
Anyway, you can find sketchyness in there, much like the incentives for the vote-buttons used to be (which, observant viewers may have noticed, disappeared a few weeks ago) and random babbling about characters. And since all of my active characters are in ThemaoR, (almost) everything posted will be ThemaoR related, yay!

Good news! An update!
Bad news! IT’S IN ICKY BLACK AND WHITE WHAT THE HELL I DON’T PAY ANYTHING FOR THIS FREE COMIC FOR IT TO APPEAR IN BLACK AND WHITE!!!!!

Ha, so, I have in my spare time been dicking around with an actual sketchpad and pencil and while inking this I thought, “Hmm, let’s see if it works on here too!” and I liked the effect. Thinking I can slap on color underneath all the scribblyness, I just inked the whole thing sketchystyle. But then putting color on it looked horrible, so black and white it is!

Will ThemaoR switch to completely black and white? Well it is a lot faster. And more fun. We’ll see. But if you’ve read through the archives and you’re still reading you probably don’t come here for my consistent style (and updates). Do you?! o_o

I could rename this comic ‘Ripper’s big mouth repeatedly gets her into trouble’. The abbreviation would be ‘Rbmrghit’. Catchy!

Fifteenthousand years ago, I did an arttrade with Kitty Ocean (devArt here). I drew this (ZOOMLAYERS ARE AWESOME OK. Check out the l33t angelfire link yo), she drew this, we were all happy! Happy arts for all!
Flashforward fifteenthousand years and I get an e-mail in my work-inbox. A girl from customer support found out about my website and devArt from a coworker and she liked what she saw, and that if I want I could check her out, too, with a link to her devArt. Guess who this coworker is? Kitty Ocean! DUN DUN DUUUUN. (there’s over 300 people working at our company ok, I can’t know everyone XD)
